At Pegasus Pony, writers receive serious consideration for their completed manuscripts. Submit your manuscript to us, and we will do an honest preliminary evaluation.
We do not require agents, and because we are willing to take risks on first-time and little known writers, many of the frustrating “Catch-22s” (some publishers insist: “we will only publish you if you’ve already been published and have a successful sales track record”) and barriers that stifle many up-and-coming best-selling authors are non-existent with us. We can take risks on authors that other publishers cannot because we truly are an innovative press that make the most of cutting-edge publishing technologies.
With Pegasus Pony, your publishing experience is custom-tailored to your situation and your submission. As our publishing partners, together we will realistically assess your goals relative to your offering and work to do more than merely publish your work. As partners, we want success in book sales.
For children’s book authors, if we feel the subject of your book is “high-concept” with an appeal to a significant number of readers (if we feel the title can sell more than 200 copies through retail outlets), there is a reasonable chance we will offer you a publishing contract. Under contract, we will work with you through the editing and formatting process, a cover will be designed and you will receive final galleys for your approval prior to publishing. Once published, we will help you promote your book according to terms detailed in your contract.
If you are an aspiring author and you are determined to make writing your career, we are willing to work with you as you progress and grow. Our entire team of editors, writers and graphic design professionals will help you realize your greatest ambitions. If you are already an established writer and you would like to cultivate a long-term relationship with an understanding, accessible publisher that will be loyal to you and encourage your continued development and success, we warmly welcome you to join us.
